We are excited that you have chosen to apply to CPMC. We are sorry we cannot see you in person, but hope we can convey how special of a place CPMC is to train and to learn.

Our Chief Residents

We routinely present posters in research, QI, and case reports in addition to competing in the annual doctor's dilemma competition!

End of intern orientation relishing in the end of the short white coats!

A day of games and spa treatment at Crissy field followed by mini gold, arcade and boba <3

Every morning we go over a cardiology case with our attending cardiologists adding their two (or three...) cents

Journal club at our program director Dr. So's home.

Here is our beautiful resident lounge. There is always plenty of pastries and coffee for you to enjoy (including a gorgeous view of Downtown San Francisco).

Multidisciplinary ICU rounds with attending, fellow, residents, and pharmacist

We have beautiful art pieces by local San Francisco artists throughout the hospital.

Beautiful area where you can enjoy lunch, or take a break and have some coffee.

We serve as the quaternary referral center for the entire Sutter Health Medical System, and also serve as a quaternary referral center for the state of California and beyond.

Currently compliant with social distancing policies.

R1 Neda Shefa is staffing one of her clinic patients with Dr. Shilpa Shah.

Dr. Shilpa Shah is using one of the resident teaching rooms in our brand-new outpatient clinic to go over a patient case. Didactic teaching sessions are an integral part of the outpatient primary care experience.

Our culture embodies a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Our clinic is equipped with robust technologies to help facilitate discussion and teaching.

We have quickly and completely implemented telemedicine to help our vulnerable populations. Of course, should a patient need to be seen in person, we have also implemented strict screening parameters to help keep the patient, residents, and house-staff safe.
